Timeless Joy
I had a few moments today to sit and think;
Bringing my internal and external into sync.
Meditation was hopeless, my mind scattered;
I went with the flow as the monkeys chattered.
My thoughts rested on my precious little boy;
The grandson bringing me today a timeless joy.
My senses eased, my soul relaxed; now I breathe;
In my hope, desires, and dreams I again believe.
Looking through the eyes of a three year old;
Enables me to live in a new depth, walking bold.
With imagination he turned the mundane into a toy;
My grandson bringing me today a timeless joy.
Sometimes I feel an intrusion into my time and life;
My heart occasionally fills up with turmoil and strife;
Seeing that precious smile and his wondrous charm;
Brings my heart into a place of peace, far from harm.
Without the knowledge of what this life will employ;
My grandson bringing me today a timeless joy.
Open your heart to those moments that time stops;
As the reapers of your soul searches out your crops.
Freely give away the moments you have been given;
Smile, then stop living that life that is blindly driven.
Watch as destiny uses every tool and every ploy;
