It's Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve
I can't believe
You won't be here at home
Why did you leave
We're left to grieve
If only we had known

The snowflakes fall
Like waterfalls
The ground is turning white
As memories fade
Like shades of grey
I look up to the sky

Oh Lord above
Shine down your love
This pain's too hard to bear
We miss her so
I know you know
We need to know she's there

It's Christmas Day
We kneel and pray
The sun shines through the clouds
We hear a voice
And then rejoice
She's in our Father's house
