Beyond These Words
Holding to her became my yesterdays and
tomorrows will grow colder
Though we say it's for the best, this heart
begs to differ and consoling it has no
impact
In thoughts she still remains though her absence
has had a field day with me
Love came so quickly, maybe too quick
It's leave has set the stage for a solo act
unscripted
I miss her and our words exchanged were but
the beginning of what was banked on forever
This write, this one won't do justice
to beautiful, maybe I need to clear my
head and wait for a better time
Wait or maybe not write at all
For our words exchanged saw light unlike
this day where it is no longer
Even whispers have been silenced but not
my heart where she remains
spoken
