Blue Christmas
Acquaintance through a child of GOD
and Heaven was mine to hold
Long talks, long distance but longing
became what made the best of us
My gift came early this year unwrapped
and no Bow needed, she was the gift
worth waiting for
Like the little boy whose nights ran restless with
anticipation Christmas came in May
and joy was mine to have and hold
No rock em, sock em Robots or G I Joe's
But a knockout no less who marched into
our life
Though Christmas came early, we failed
to care for the gift bestowed and I hope
she knows how much she meant and does mean
to me
Christmas in May, How I wish it were today
Blue Christmas, tis the reason for my season
