That Meeting
If only in my life, one wish ever come true
It was that day on which, I had the opportunity of meeting you
A point in my life when there was so much diappointment
But meeting you transformed that into one of enjoyment.
Like a gift, it occured just around the Christmas season
Enforcing that belief that some things happen for a reason
Who could imagaine a person, having such a disastrous year
But on seeing you, a look if fervent hope seem to appear.
Seeing you alone my decision was to go over and break the ice
Well after having such a bad time, another rejection would be no surprise
It was apparent that you were having a moment of indecision
But got calmer and we had a very enjoyable and pleasant conversation.
In that moment those around could see my elation
Your presence tansposed on me a feel of invigoration
A few hours ago my demeanour was of of such dejection
Now you have in a few minutes transformed that into one of jubilation.
Walking and talking with you readily relieved me of some burden
Sort of therapeutic, relaxing, enjoyable a very happy occasion
There was great admiration, for you mind, physical appearance and being so positive
It a short time, it was transposed on me, you were very effective.
Like in all things, time flew and we had to part company
But made a promise to meet again, at the earliest opportunity
That night sticken already, i could not sleep, looking forward to the next meeting
When it occurred you look even more appealing and oh so pleasing.
This time we walked through the street, heavy with that shopper's flow
It made my heart thumped when I held your hand as we walked in the light snow
The streets so well decorated. but the light could not matched you eyes' glow
You looked so beautiful, that I could not resist kissing you under the mistletoe.
