Following the Example

Since Christ had suffered so much,
We must be staying in touch;
Keeping the same attitude,
With the way Jesus had viewed.

For if we suffer within,
Then no longer do we sin;
Neither does us mentally,
To cause us physically.

Then you have doused the fires,
That guides sinful desires;
As you live your time on earth,
With the joys of your rebirth.

Then God will be guiding you,
On what He wants you to do;
As you honor and proclaim,
When you are praising His name.

You spent much time in the past,
With living as an outcast;
Trying to live way to quick,
In being part of the clique.

But this is a new in-crowd,
That awaits to see the cloud;
With Jesus as He returns,
And life as we know adjourns.
