As the year keeps turn
wonder becomes common
When hair turns white or gray
some people say we see not as good
As the youth of the day
we can not see that way
Our fore sight isn't as long
danger isn't as deep
Yet, we are the main stays
keeping the world on its feet
We begin looking at our fellow Man
wondering what we may do
To create a better place
keeping the world running true
But, for the future children
who have no self restraint
Would crash in oblivion
without even a complaint
Mortality ifs for their elders
they see farther than the young
Realizing all the dangers
their short sightedness has begun
For the youth
it is not good to see
For vistas await them
where they search for destiny
The elders hold them tight
on air, land, and sea
So they may survive and know
that searched for destiny
To know that there is more to life
than material wealth or gain
Showing them a path to salvation
that even the young can attain.
