My Way
My Way
I really don't understand
the mistakes I continue to make
I try to be true to all that I meet
yet some insist that all of me they take
I'm old and tired
the fight is just to great
In everyone's life
there comes the time of checkmate
I have fought the good fight
I've loved so very deep
but this hill I now face
is just to steep
My Heavenly Father I fall at your feet
I pray for Your forgiveness
For I have not the strength to fight
and I now need a life of heavenly richness
I see no further meaning to my existance
I have loved all that I can
Its time for an end to the pain
and to return to where I began.
I followed where I felt you have lead
I have tried to live in your pathway
Upon this earth I just have no place
I ask that You take me home to stay
