Winters Embrace
The winds of change howl it's arrival
and we shudder for snowbirds
we are not
Our wings won't allow escape and so we
prepare our nests for the snows
yet to come
Winter wonderlands make way for the
spirit of the holidays
upon us
North or South the hands of Old Man Winter
slowly takes hold for this
he was born
Leaving icicles and snow drifts
slowly marking his
territory
Sculptured shards of ice
Works of art hanging
beautifully
His warm display of love
even on the coldest of
days
Clearly, Swarovski would
be jealous of
Flakes, with design their
own swirl, dancing their
way to journeys end
Snow angels yet to
take wing once
again
