Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Trapped in a car for a few seconds after an accident

Door crunched shut,
And I tremble at the thought
Of being stuck in this heap,
Waiting for an explosion
That would never come.
I whimper and weep while
Holding my throbbing head.
My tears are glass,
I swear I can hear them
Break as they fall.
I try the useless handle
Once more,
To pry myself out of this misery.
It simply will not budge.
And for a moment,
I entertain thoughts
Of an invisible death.
I want out but, more
Than anything,
I want the warm embrace
Of my mother.
I climb over to the passenger seat,
And release myself
From this tangled mess.
