Father or Daddy
This over time has always proved a mind teaser for many
What are the duties that make a person a daddy
Then again one can take a look even a litter broader
What does it takes for one to have that title of father.
Some men just stay around as long as it will take to relay
To their offspring that potion of the require DNA
But as soon as that part of the conception is done
Later when they are needed, can conveniently not be found.
Later you mother stil a beautiful and desirable woman
Will in time, with some other man form a loving union
He, know that you and him are not like genetically
However embraces that opportunity, and to you acts responsibly.
Making sure that he is to be found, and is around
Building with you a bond, and cultivating a relationship that is sound.
Teaching you and taking you around, doing those father and son things
Making sure that in you boyhood, lots of happiness rings.
Then as time progresses, always take time to ensure
That you on right path you go, as you make mistake as you mature
Encouraging and admonishing as you go on purposefully and positively
Cultivating and nurturing all those traits, that demonstrated responsibility.
These teachings were so instrumental in all your life's deparment
That you always you amaze people, by portrayal of such confidence
So that no matter what trials life threw at you
There was that tenacity to be able to see your way through
And as time roll on no matter what gave of your best
As always such thing often brings to one a measure of success
Then somehow that guy, with whom you are linked by that genetic tree
Somehow now remembered after a long time a father to you now want to be.
Then you look at him and see, someone that you can only pity
Perhaps thinking why did he not try to make time for you his responsibility
Now his eyes beaming with pride, by looking at him, you can tell
You said thank you father, but my daddy did raise me very well.
