Poetic Verses

Back In Time

What a great surprise, when there is that sting on the nose
By a bee, each time there was an atempt, to smell a rose
And then again, being chased by a very angry mother hen
When you accidentally touched one of her chickens.

Oh! What an experience to be tickled in the plam of the hand
When you extend it and  then it   gotlicked by a lamb
Then as it began to run and follow you around, so easily
Its mother bleated and brought it back to reality.

How good it was to frolic and jump around and laugh
As you try to imitate the antics of a happy calf
Kicking up its hind legs in such gay abandon
Those moments I can recall very often.

Then in the tree those hungry little nestlings
Very noisy in the nest, with theur mouths wide open
Then from no where the mother descended so as to feed
Depositing the food down their throats thus quenching that need.

It was very intesting to see, the teaching of the cat
She will return home bring a lizard, mouse or a rat
The kittens will run after it, trying to learn the hunting art
Thus this was a lesson in survival the mother was trying to impart.

Amother thing that stands out in my mind perhaps for ever
There was these two dogs, borned from the same mother
Even though they were separated and lived with different families
They always find time to visit each other, and play around regularly.

Many visitors usually came to take pictures of, and admire the green monkey
It was such joy to see them swinging from a vine, or skipping among the trees
They were so capitvated by them, admiring their great beauty
But they were never around to see, how on succulent crops they show no mercy.

Now today i sort of feel sorry for the little children
Development has deprived them of an important aspect of life's program
Not being privy to see the regualar animals in their nautal habitat
But are now surrounded by concete, and game are mainly electronic.
