A CARPET OF WINTER SNOW





I love it when stars hang featherlight

in the winter sky

With  icy wind swirling thick snow all about



Christmas dreams of  bygone days resumes

ribboned wishes tied together with knots of love

Fragrant with holiday perfume
 




I have no regrets or apologies over our yesterdays

between you and me - we loved - laughed and played

A wonderful family we made



Walking on a winter carpet of white snow

Laughing between kisses - your arm around me

keeping me warm with love you did bestow



I love it when stars hang featherlight

in the winter sky

I'll see you in my dreams tonight
