WINTER WINDS



hollowed are the sounds
of winter winds in mist
Aching limbs wait for summer sun
Blue skies bleed ice
Snowing beauty outside a teasing enticement
That I a sane man do ignore
For on wooden legs I will not explore
A warm log burning fire inside
And sanity returns to those wise
I wait for morning springs return
Let others the leaves of winter burn
And plant the seeds that fade in fall
Merry Christmas to you all!
As I sit to watch the snowman melt
and one more winter day passes by
No love of being cold damp winds have I
