Gone too Soon
There was much celebrtation when the year 2010 began
We suvived the tests, uncertainties but will appreciate that it had to end
Some may say in the time that went by, they saw only gloom
Others may say no matter what, the time went by too soon.
Soon it will be that time to say goodbye again and greet 2011
Again this intitation, will be greeted with world wide jubilation
Sooner or later the first quarter will quickly slip by
Again will come that remark Oh! My! The time has just fly.
But in all that take time to digress, and have a look back
Because sometimes this is very much needed, to stay on track
Take a good look and assess you life's balance sheet
See how many of those assets and liabilities, you eyes may greet.
Take a look at how you managed and survived those challanges
Looking and the way you were able to avoid those many punches
Know full well that the road ahead, there will be even more
But that experience will, prepare you for what is in store
Perhaps the world may be still wrestling with the recession
But the time that passed, proved you have survived a dispensation
Therefore that may induce some strength, and some resistance
So now you have that confidence, to go that whole distance.
A plus is to purge, all those negative thoughts from the mind
That may be a limiting factor, not slated for this time
Keep that opened mind,observe and listen to what is around you
Never take anything for granted, that can be retarding if you do.
We always say events are so far way, they are in the future
Fogetting that over time they will be as close as tomorrow
In no time at all will become, as present as today
Then it will be gone too soon, you may belatantly say.
