Changing Attitudes
Who could remember when expression considered to be taboo
Were only expressed in private, perhaps befitting too
For a time now, they are expressed and quite repeatedly
On prime time on some shows on the TV.
Then again there was moments when a woman felt quite ashame
When she was thought of in a certain vane
But now to some it depicts, strength, power and dominance
So they do not see anything wrong in such a parlance.
Take a listen to some teenagers, using certain expressions
To convey to each other an article or person description
Word used would be fromerly considered to be very unflattering
But to them this is their way of praising.
It is strange also. how adults tell children not to lie
Then the next instance, they are doing that right before their eyes
Now setting up a system, that breathes a double standard
Thus their opinions of adults, will be sort of devalued.
It is amazing, how we expect tole models, to demonstrate aptly
All those virtures, entrusted in what is called morality
Being put under scrutiny, by all the expectations of a society
Who perhaps seems to forget, that they have they are of the human specie.
But before we others, for their action and teaching berate
When those who are the law makers, look at us and prevaricate
So this behaviour can create a chain reaction
That has the tedency to transcend many a nation.
