When i prayed i prayed
For whatever sake, until i knew i had a reason WHY
Compulsory i didn't know WHY until i was 13
Until the day i realized my purpose in this life
The day i got down on my head i realized i could cry to Him
I could speak to Him
He was my mentor, my counselor and my best friend
We have a Bond unlike any other He always accepts my repentance
Its always me letting Him Down and He never says a word to me
He isn't pleased, but the moment I'm down on my knees and my head is on the floor
On the Sadjuud i plead and i can feel He has forgiven me now
Praying time is unbreakable
I can't miss the slot
Five times a day i am pleased to recite verses of the Holy Quran and praises to my everything
Without Him i wouldn't be here now
I'd be dead, in a ditch or even under the sea
For all anybody knows i could be goodness knows where by now
Before then i prayed, but never like when i was 13 i started to know the purpose of my duty in Islam
Now i am 16 i am a woman in His eyes
I represent Islam i may not be perfect, but i try my best
May He be pleased with me and with every past, present and future
