Like an EagleJust remember the days of old, The times that your grandfather told; Consider the many years past, Shadows that generations cast. Ask your father and he will show, You of all the elders that know; They can tell you when the Most High, Will be coming down from the sky. Like an eagle spreading its wings, With a team of angels He brings; The eagle stirring up the nest, Brooding where the young are at rest. As He hovers over its young, The eaglets from the nest are flung; And with wings spreading wide to catch, His claws are spreading out to snatch. He carries them on His feathers, Their tiny claws are like tethers; As they flew up into new heights, While exploring towards new sights. And so they were fed from the field, That only from Heaven could yield; Drinking milk from the goats and sheep, Only the Good Shepherd could keep.
