My Christmas Wish
The day would end as it began
Empty of her my heart demands
and so we thought we'd write St Nick
With hope he'd read of heart mine sick
It came by hands well known to me
Who held but warmth and destiny
Dear man in red do you read me
Or does my fate spell fantasy
A child I'm not but wish we were
To so impress, upon you stir
My simple wish this Christmas day
Return to me what I let stray
Acknowledge us as I did you
Where younger days are all but few
Where cookies left and a tall glass
Of milk were left when then you passed
Much older now but still in love
Is us once child who still thinks of
The boy that held and still holds to
True love today when you pass through
