Cold Winter's Night
Sitting alone on a cold winter's night;
Missing you,
From the moment you drove out of sight.
Getting on the computer, seeking a friend;
Missing you,
Loneliness is waiting for me around the bend.
I tried to meditate, my thoughts confused;
Missing you,
My mind stays unsettled and bemused.
A poem written to get in touch with my feelings;
Missing you,
My heart open, my emotions revealing.
Love, passion, and warm friendship I know;
Missing you,
I must go along with the turbulent flow.
Separate too many moments it seems anymore;
Missing you,
The instant you walk out the door.
Sitting alone on a cold winter's night;
