The past has been and gone again,
And now we have a future bright,
Another path to walk down,
Out of the dark, into the light!
Some journeys are pretty tough,
But we have to face them head on,
And when you know you did the right thing,
That's when you know that you've won!
So yesterday was a different path,
And always a twist and a turn,
And every day brings different things,
And much more about life we learn.
I've learnt to not take onboard - negative,
And to never be untrue to me;
Take all the knowledge that I have from God,
And use it as it was meant to be!
I'm not too clever; I'm not too bright,
In fact, I am just as normal as can be,
I don't profess to be what I'm not,
For you will never see that from me!
I am good at 3 things in my life,
Writing, signing, and my love of God above!
And in a way, through my words, I guess,
I can show off my faith, and that love?
For God gave me my gifts you know!
Oh yes, my hands are my forte',
Signing and writing, loving words...
Yep, I guess I've really done okay?
Well, I have been reflecting this night,
And today has changed and altered me,
For I move forward again, onto a new path,
But it's the right move and it's meant to be.
Things change and alter all the time,
Every day is different and unknown,
But if we knew what we would face each day:
Maybe we'd never leave the confines of our home?
But that's just burying your head in the sand!
So I've been sorting things in my head...
And I've got a worried fog inside my mind,
Cos it's late, and time for me to go to bed!!
....And I will face all of my tomorrows...
By keeping strong of heart and mind,
Not let any negative in, no way!
For if I do, sadness is all I'll find!
Now cos this life of mine is hard,
With the awful pain that I bear each day!
I ask the LORD to help me through,
Every night, as in my bed I pray!
"LORD, please help me in my plight,
And help me though all of this pain...
In doing so, give me the strength;
To stay focused and strong once again!"
