Poetic Verses
Resigned
Amid the sadness, circumspect
Between the lines, some regret
The heavy hanging tears reflect
the way that lives intersect
Inside these walls, my fortress true
Beyond them now, shades of blue
In every hour that seemed too few
there was a bond that grew
Mystery, beyond this door
Is contentment nevermore
To leave as history or as lore
as shadows grow upon the floor
Slow the steps to leave behind
A simple note on paper lined
Letters scrawled and was thus, signed
From this place to be resigned
12/29/10
Between the lines, some regret
The heavy hanging tears reflect
the way that lives intersect
Inside these walls, my fortress true
Beyond them now, shades of blue
In every hour that seemed too few
there was a bond that grew
Mystery, beyond this door
Is contentment nevermore
To leave as history or as lore
as shadows grow upon the floor
Slow the steps to leave behind
A simple note on paper lined
Letters scrawled and was thus, signed
From this place to be resigned
12/29/10
