Post Christmas
The christmas season is one very happy occasion
Surrounded by friends and family, who came from all direction
Happy to come around to socialise and extend, wishes for the season
As well as partake in the gaiety, and the present jubilation.
During all this time of enjoyment, one can most certainly be in the mood
To willing partake of the well prepared and variety of food
Cooked with such as fine diplay of culinery artistry
That the aroma, titillated the palate of eveybody.
This celebration will contiunue until the year ends
That one ended, and then as always another begins
Loud nosies, as well as fireworks will fill the air
As the people count down the time, to welcome the new year
But a few weeks or less after the new year begins
One can hardly even find room to train in the gyms
There one can see people working out as though they are crazy
Say the aim is to shed, that christmas pounds instantly.
The highways, sidewalks, stadiums and any open space
There will be people running around at such a great pace
Those who believe, that they do not want much pressure on the knees
Will take to walking briskly, or any pace that will please.
Then there are some who would not go that strenous route
Will rather take any formula, touted to quickly uproot
Any excess fat that finds itself in the unwanted places
Whilst other may starve, to remove those traces.
Sometimes being fit and trim is some people's resolution
Initially for a few days will try to take some action
But try to remember that it took time to accumulate
And most certainly make take a little longer to dissipate
