 108. Gears & Steam
(inspired by & for Mythica's Mysterious Mechanical Masquerade)

Gears are turning
&
Churning
And murder
Is standard fare
Only for the
Brilliant
Who
Can kill
With such
Finesse.

Somebody's
Steamed
Under their
Victorian collar.

One by One
Hour by Hour
The mighty
To the small
Will fall.

Masks and steam
Will cloak
The culprits
But not
The crime.

The Zeppelin
Will fly,
A Steam Nation
Will rise,
Heroes will
Fall,
Villains
Whose plots
Within plots
Discovered,
Mayhap
Thwarthed,
But only time
Will tell
If it can be
Discovered
In and across
Time.

Machinations
Within Victorian
Bloody
Machinations.

Care to dance?
The beat
Will be
To die for,
And steam
Will rise
From skin
And bodies
Moving in
Time,
Not yet
Here.
