JUST BE
Another year gone ‘round the bend
and as I sit here wondering
at the swiftness of time
it seems to no longer matter;
becomes irrelevant,
falling off me like clothing at a
favorite skinny-dipping spot,
moments become bare and raw,
joyous and free,
weightless,
effortless
Is this the culmination of a life
spent in purposeful self actualization – at last?
Is this how it feels to be content
in one's own skin, accepting of the naked souls of others?
Surely there has to be more…this is too simple.
But oh, how sweet it feels
to just
be
