WHO DO WE REALLY KNOW

I DON’T KNOW ME
Do you know me or who
You are. Do you know you?

Difficult to know ourselves, I know
I can tell lies to myself so how do
I get to know me, or you, we rarely
Listen to ourselves nor do we hear

The speech of empty words from the
People we should know, who do we
Really know, I won’t let you in.

Wouldn’t do no not at all, let you in,
And you get to know the real me. How
Could I cope if you told me, I really
Do know you, the truth is better hidden.

I can kid myself I’m a nice guy
Truth is elusive can be true one
Minute falsehood the next moment
I don’t know me, or you, the truth is at
This moment I don’t want to know me, or you.
