Such Fear
That night, it was dark, gloomy, dismal and scary
Not a star darted across the sky, the bred a feeling so eerie
But what drove home into the people that feeling of fear
There was not warning, they had not a moment to prepare.
Then the rain came heavily to the ground
It pounded all around, creating such an unusual sound
Some people were so scared, they were rooted to a spot with fright
They were mesmerised by what was such a strange sight.
What now so intensify their fear, was the howling of the strong wind
Bending tree tops, removing roofs, and blowing into the air the bins
Converting them to missiles as against the buildings they slammed
Blowing off and away the friut from the trees, flattening the crops in the land.
Some wondered what had happened that night, as they shivered and cowered
For added to that was the falshing of the lightning that hour
It illuminated the surroundings, brighter than any midday light
This cause the animals to run around, and this added more to the night.
Then the thunder added to this its noisy notification
Each clap, the sound made them feel a sort of vibration
As its reverberation could be felt in each in every quarter
The combined sounds created such a fear and a feeling of terror.
Some shouted loudly help us this is like judgement
Many fell on their knees and become very repentant
Some promised to change and there were many confessions
Looked up to skies, in the blinding light asking for absolutions.
But it is amazing how it took something like such fear
To make people their consciences to openly bare
But since it had ocurred so qucikly and so suddenly
Perhaps they believed it was a sign from someone who is mighty.
