 Ember's Warmth
The coals of the fire still glowing;
Tended with my full attention.
Stirring gently, smoldering flickers;
Enjoying the ember's warmth.
With a stick in my hand, I think;
While the waves of heat radiate.
Connected with our passion;
Pondering the ember's warmth.
Ready to burst new fuel into flames;
Absorbing the moment, the romance.
I stir the coals and think of you;
Loving the ember's warmth.
Passion's flames come and go;
Yet this fire is forever unquenched.
Consuming the cold darkness;
Desiring the ember's warmth.
Kindling is thrown on the coals;
Passion burns bright, intensity strong.
Enjoying the moment til the flames die;
Needing the ember's warmth.
Sitting here around the campfire;
My thoughts are consumed by you.
Toasting a marshmallow in the coals;
Tasting the ember's warmth.
