I Had To Have Another Chat!

I had to have another chat to God,
For I was in need of help,
So I decided to have Him up the wall once more,
And gave a little yelp!
‘Are you there, God?' I shouted to the sky;
‘I need a word or two!
So if you please, will you help me out,
Cos my anger's showing through!'

‘Catherine!'  He bellowed to me;
‘What's going on, why are you all a dither?'
Blimey I thought; He knows everything!
As He shouted to me; ‘come hither!'
So I thought about my problem,
And took the task to hand…shouted;
‘Lord, you see, it's like this…
I don't really feel very grand!

I've got this little problem you see,
And I don't know what to do,
So I decided I needed help once again –
And see it from you're point of view!'
Everything seemed quiet,
And I thought that he had gone away;
Then suddenly, without expecting it,
He shouted; ‘Catherine, are you ok?'

‘Nope, Lord, I'm not ok at all,
Cos I have this problem you see;
And I don't know how to resolve it,
That's why I'm chatting to thee!'
I heard a sigh within my God,
And I felt a little mean,
Having Him up the wall like this,
I'm a nightmare, not a dream!

‘Ok kid!' He said to me;
‘Tell me what the problem is!'
But that's the point, I have no idea,
Oh blimey, oh gee wiz!
‘God, I really need assistance,
And guidance and support from you!
Cos to be quite honest, I'm floundering here,
And don't know what to do!'

So I sat and thought about it,
Wondering what to say,
But really, I didn't need to talk,
Cos he knew I was far from ok.
‘God, can you tell me why people cause pain?
And why they make a nation cry,
Cause such terror within a person,
Can you tell me the answer why?'

‘My child, my child,' my God said;
‘Why do you worry and fret so much?
And why do you think that I won't help you,
When I know you need a crutch!'
I heard him sigh once more,
And lifted my eyes to the sky,
And promised myself that no matter what,
I wasn't going to cry!

‘I am floundering on a sea of emotions;'
'Help me please,' I said;
‘Why I am wondering how I survived?'
'How come I'm not dead?'
‘Catherine, stop right there says He!'
Sternly I must add!
‘Listen to me young woman!
He said; ‘And please stop feeling bad!'

So I smiled myself a little smile,
And asked him what I needed to do,
And He advised me to do nothing at all,
And let things follow through.
You can't take on the war of the worlds,'
'Its not something for you know!'  He said!
‘Nor can you stop the maiming...
'Killing and robbing of the dead!'

'So Catherine; I think it's time...'
'You started to let things be,'
'And just you leave it alone...'
'Because its all in the hands of me!'
So I smiled a smile, as I usually do,
And scuttled off to bed,
And as I settled down so snug,
This is what my God said;

‘Catherine, sleep well and slumber awhile,
And know this to be true,
No matter the trials you face in life,
I face those trials with you!'
And as I turned over to close my eyes,
I knew that He did care,
And as I drifted off to sleep;
His calming presence filled the air.

I didn't need to voice my issue,
For my God knows me well that's true,
So I smiled a little smile, and whispered,
‘Lord, I'll leave it in the hands of you!'
