I Know, I Know…I know, I know, don't remind me! For I know that I contradict in what I say! But I have to be quite honest… I'm having a really bad day! That's the understatement of all statements, For to be honest I have to say, That this is more than I can take, I can't take any more pain thrown my way! I'm human and allowed to be so, And sometimes I flounder around, And just for now, I'm floundering, And no peace for me can be found! I have my faith and believe you me, That's what's got me this far in life, For my God has walked the walk with me, And helped me through all my strife! But I really need Him here right now, I need to know I can get through this trial, Because if I can't, then what do I have? I need strength to walk that one last mile! I talk to him all the time, I pray for peace throughout the world, And I pray for everyone that needs prayers, And for every pain that is unfurled! But now I'm asking for myself, Shamefully so that is you see, Because although I ask for His help often, It's never usually for the health of me… You see, we have these chats, He and I, And I tell him all my hopes and fears, Of course, He's always there… And He always, always, hears! So now I'm asking for myself, I can't get find the strength to get through… I'm at the end of my tether… And don't know what to do! I know, I know, I'm contradicting myself, But like I say, I'm human too… And just for now, I'm having a glitch, I'm struggling to fight on through… I've cried an ocean of tears for 9 days, No relief for this pain of mine, But one day soon, I hope and pray, I will once more be feeling fine! I really need the strength I have inside, To come hurling to the fore… I need some help, I really do, For I really can't take any more! Can I get through it this time? Will my strength come shining through? Will I be able to fight it…? Because if I can't, I don't know what I'll do!
