A scottish singer stuck
in the middle with you with lots of luck,
he fronted steelers wheel at the start
then on to solo career w/so much heart....
Baker Street is where he was at his best
and now where he's laid to rest,
but his distinct voice still plays
with pride and mercy cross the ways.
Celebrate ones that stand out in a crowd
w/more uniqueness heaven has allowed,
there'll never be another voice like this
it's one i'm glad i didn't miss.
Gerry Rafferty long may he live
in the airwaves with so much to give,
heaven can never take away
voices within our heartstrings 4ever stay!
