Test Cricket in the Caribbean
Oh! What a spectacle is test cricket in the Caribbean
It sometimes depict an aura of a carnival scene
With music playing, drums beating and there are gyration
As the imbibed spirits, have taken some dominion.
From early morning, spectator began to gather
With packed baskets, coolers taking over every corner
People came from all over the world to be here
And get captivated by and take pictures of the atmospehere.
When the local team makes it appearance
The spectators applause to show a form of reverence
And at the same time, some take the opportunity to tip
A glass of beer or some spirit to the lip.
There is nothing that can stimulate, the spectators like some aggression
Enjoying this contest, especially if the batsman rises to the occasion
DUcking and swaying, then executing a very deftly played stroke
This will make the applause deafening, as more interest this will promote.
At each water break or interval, this will give time
To play some music, make noise, a "wuk up" or wind
Then as the game continues the intensity is again fuel
By the contest in the middle, awaiting the winner of the duel.
In the heyday of the West Indies team, whose domination
When it will win its games, in a manner like a demolition
It has that capability to fill many of the world's stadiums
As its batsmen could exeute shots with such precision.
Form the era of the three " W " to the the day of Lara
There has not been a been a batsman now of that caliber
As with time there are changes, now the tables have turn
There have not been winning, this is a real cause for concern.
