But A Faded Watermark ღ GPG ღ
But A Faded Watermark
I don't understand
what you wish to gain
Please just tell me.. I'll do it
so I can move beyond this pain
You want me gone
so I go away
Yet you jerk me back
just to have another say
I don't get this game
Its not one I taught you to play
What life's debt
is it that wish me to pay
Is it that I'm still here
and draw the living breath
Would you be satisfied
if I gave you my death
I truly can not remember
the last phone call gotten
of Mom how are you
It seems Im of the forgotten
Oh my number
you know quite well
when you have an issue
on which you wish to dwell
Oh the words
have long gone unspoken
of just "I love you Mom"
leaves my heart broken
Of seven I have but two left
of the dearest to my heart
I pray to my Father above
you do not make them depart
I'm already so guarded
in what I'm free to say
Just how big is this debt
you insist that I pay
Please can you not wish me
fare-the-well and God speed
Can these not just be
your final words to me....
You have banned me from your life
and have shut me in the dark
Upon your heart I am nothing
but a faded watermark
