SMILING!!!!!
I took photos with my cell-phone
And completed the tasks with ease
Because each of my willing subjects
Obeyed me and said "CHEESE!" (:-)
That was before the photography class
But now, I'm afraid it's after
Now I look at the pics on my tables and walls
And as the tears flow freely from my eyes
They are superseded by my laughter!
OH MY GOD, WAS I A CLOD!
With my new digital camera there are modes, memory cards
Batteries, chambers, monitors, switches,
Shutters, selector buttons, cables and a strap
All I knew before was to shout
"SAY CHEESE," and then snap!
Some of my subjects were tall
But very well bred
They obeyed when I commanded
"Bend down or the camera
Will chop off your head!"
I sit in class and watch
As my classmates proudly show
Portraits of mountains, rivers, forests and valleys
Luxuriating in sunshine, shadows, raindrops and snow.
Sorry to tell you this, professor
I'm just not ready to photograph places
So if you really do not mind
For a while I'll stay with smiling faces (:0)

P.S. These photos were taken with my cell-phone or with a throwaway
camera. As I learn more about the new digital camera, photos
that appear here will (I hope) begin to look more clear. (:-)
