Time to Help

These day in most countries of the world people are concern
This occurrence is something that none of them ever yearn
That the youngsters instead of enjoying their time having fun
When settling any disputes, seem to resort to the use of a gun.

Through the times, there have been many a range of change
That lots of us have been playing on the materialistic stage
Falling victims, to the popular brands, and  available technology
You may come to regret it, if you ever misplace your Black Berry.

Now in the times, demands are increasing, but the finances are depleting
But there seems still the that growing desire for acquiring
In some that spirit of entitlement seems steadfast in the mind
So that drive to acquire, may be only achievable through crime.

Do not stand aloof, saying this is none of your business
Perhaps that sort of behavior could be a contributor to this mess
Because if that moment was taken, to offer some form of advice
This sort of kindness, could be very significant in someones life.

In the society there must be that need, to get into action
Stop that talking, this seems tantamount to procrastination
And what about governments, whose laws, quite obviously
Have eroded in some cases, aspects of parental authority.

Then most of those much touted and respected organizations
Are themselves now plagued with problems, so no direction
Even the church, once perceived to be a reliable sanctuary
Events over time, have severely impacted on its credibility,

Youngsters watching the antics, of leaders, those politicians
Those very people who are in trusted with the plight of the nation
Listening and seeing the actions, their broken promises, and prevarication
This too can in them, create a state of double standards and confusion.

Let us to our youths, try to give them this message
For all that abundance of energy, find some positive usage.
Try to control that anger, respect and talk to each other
Forget those materialistic things, they are sometimes not worth the bother.
