ramblings and things

minutes
she tucked her arm through mine
first to do that for many years
as we walked on that damp windy day
under a grey sky of unshed rain tears
and we strolled though the park
at a very gentle pace
as this new stranger friend
and I slowly crossed the place
to the warmth of the Inn
and strong hot filter coffee
sat in the luxury of a deep
large inviting leather settee
to sit and talk
to discover each other
until time was suddenly gone
and for now the interlude was over
we walked to the cars arm in arm
exchanged a goodbye for now kiss
with promise from both there'd be
many more together times like this
