 COOL BLUE MOONLIGHT

Standing in a cold corner
Dark and damp as the thoughts running
Through these blacken veins of yesteryear
The sun is going down slowly...
Slowly as that day I was laid to eternal sleep
This remembrance has played its wicked laugh
Throughout the last four-hundred years
Standing, deep in back of this sheltered Mausoleum
Amongst the cobwebs, spiders and vermin
I wait for the ultimate dark
That's when I slowly step into the waiting arms
Of the cool night air...
There is a beautiful blanket of fog
Crawling across the headstones,
Memorial plots of the rich and poor alike
Where death lurks
We all are alike in his greedy eyes
I take a step out from my refuge
Far enough that the cool blue moonlight
Makes it way across my 6'4" frame
My height and frame blends into the door-way of the Mausoleum
The moon is so bright that's the light
Creates shadows that highlight
The trees and gravestones with a sharpness
That is clean, crisp and clear
There at the edge of the cemetery
In one of the darkest of shadows
I spy a set of Red Eyes...
Slowly I step back into the shadows once again
Beneath my feet lie dry and lifeless Ivy
My one step back on a dry Ivy leaf
Was loud enough for the Red Eyes
To make hast!...
I was so damn angry at myself
For giving myself away like that
Who knows, it might be my only meal of the night.
So rare to catch a living creature
Within my immediate range of home
Again, I witness the eyes of red
I remain still this time
For the figure is on the move
Surprise!
What do I make of this shadow?
This lone intruder?
I feel the deadness within my veins come alive
It's the feel of the hunt
If what flows through these rotted vines is blood
Let there be a fire
To warm this frozen core of
Four Hundred Years
The figure glides atop the fog
In my direction
It's easy to tell the figure is small
Now close enough for me to see the figure is a woman
With long, thick raven colored hair
My trance like stare fills me with a hunger lust
I had not fed for two nights
What a beauty she is as she passes near-by
I froze just as she was ready to past my way
Suddenly she stopped
Very aware of another presence
I moved forward from my darken solitude
She was shocked
Giving her cause, as it did the same for
She pulled her lips up over her gums
And hissed a growled
I saw her hot breath in the cool evening chill
My gut reaction was the very same
I grabbed her as fast as the strike-of-a-match
I grabbed a hand full her raven hair
Pulling her down as I hovered my 6'4" frame over her
I had to look immense at that moment
However,
This She-Devil was strong as HELL
She looked into my eyes of flame red
Daring me to go any further
My teeth grew in a shuttering speed
Just then she raised her other hand
Wheeling it just so; slashing my cheek
That drove me to uncontrollable RAGE
I threw her to the ground and fell upon her
With the hunger of two nights past
I sank my fangs into her pearl-white neck
My rage slowly turned to lust...
Her aroma was captivating
I regained my composer
She then pulled me closer to her
No words exchanged, she leaned forward
Kissing my neck with a bite here and a bite there
Together there in the cool blue moonlight of night
We both sunk down and under the fog
Never a word was spoken
A Vampire love fest was our invitation
We made love most of the night
We then walked together
Headed for the feeding grounds
She and I made several kills that night
I watched her vicious attacks
Which I found exciting
Just then we both looked up and realized
Dawn was quickly rising
I raised my cape and she flew to my side
Haste upon my wings
From that night and every night after that
She shared my bed
I'm her Valid and she my Rosaline
Two soft sighs
Until dusk, my love...
