Poetic Verses
Time and Change
Who could remember when it stood so very tall?
That great imposing barrier the Berlin Wall
Some people use determination, grit and bravery
To climb it, to escape the system or to see friends and family.
But like all thing, it was just a matter of time after all
That pressure verbally, and physically cause it to fall
Because it is quite obviously, the power weaved industrially
When the world is confronted, by a united Germany.
Then there also was another era of that system of apartheid
This system many nations of the world would verbally chide
There were also some who just sit around so deafeningly silent
This reason was because there, its business men had some investments
Many countries talked about imposing embargoes and boy cots
But again there were some, who certainly did not
So to this debate, contributions were not a jot
But remember, Abraham most certainly never deserted Lott.
But constant talk, and the changes to correspond with the era
In that transition, the country heralded in President Mandela
Who despite being imprisoned for a very long time
Came to take over that position for which he was destined.
But even though, all these walls and barriers have come down
There is still some places, these still will be found
Even though these changes may have taken place with time
It is hard to eradicate them, from some people's minds.
