Poetic Verses

Can't defer that Date

The pages of history a filled with many great men
Some have plundered, conquered, or defended many a land
No matter the roll played, they  had to answer
That call which told then, it was their final hours.

It is always a concern when people on each other inflict pain
Some trying to block others, for achieving nay sort of gain
But not matter what they acquire, that did not give them any power
To resist that time or call dictated by the leveler.

There were many who paraded very long across success stages
They were the features on all the leading journal pages
Some get the feeling when its time, and would not let is go by
But most certainly, acknowledge when it's time to say goodbye.

Then there are others who, think that it is their right
To be always be seen, no matter what in the limelight
So they seem to go into some form or state of depression
Seeing it as death, if they cannot make any impression.

Living and life will certainly teach many of us a lesson
So we should look at this as a very important institution
No matter your grade, escapades, or level of distinction
One has to bear the fate, that is meted out to all human.

Sometimes people find themselves in a sort of predicament
When they realize they are knocking at the door of retirement
Not being proactive, never thought that an era is finite
And no matter what that time will come, to say good night.

We always hear this story for many centuries being told
So long as one is alive, your age is always measured in unit of old
And as we live no matter the years, and how much time go by
There is no denying, the time will come when we must die.
