Guidelines for Serving Christ
You are faithful and you serve well,
In the House of the Lord you dwell;
There has been much you sacrificed,
To be a minister to Christ.
You will be nourished by the Word,
Each and every time when heard;
Through the Christian faith that is sought,
In the teachings that have been taught.
Do not have anything to do,
With stories that others construe;
Because you are gentle and kind,
And having the right frame of mind.
Train yourself in a godly life,
Even during those times of strife;
For I know that you are sincere,
And have the strength to persevere.
Godly living has assurance,
For having peaceful endurance;
For this life and into the next,
Regardless on just how perplexed.
We work hard and struggle to live,
Knowing a godly life will give;
A place where life will continue,
On down that golden avenue.
