Winter Has ComeTree branches look like sparkling glass Snowflakes cling pure and white Frozen ice hardened fast Winter scene clean and bright Blowing blustery winds grip us tight Warnings to stay off roads and streets Snow gently falling silently light Snow piling into mounds blocking streets Feels like glass slippers on our feet Knitted mittens cover our hands Slick, sliding, slippery, ice, and sleet Snow falling in your face feels like sand Winter has come and settled in Spring will arrive and give birth Winter will not leave until then It will stay showing it's beauty and it's worth ŠJanuary 20, 2011 Janet Irene Griffin Vote for this poem
