Oh so much to understand
what is said does not compute
How you wear your words
just like a cheap suit.
So much time has passed
with nothing any nearer
Betrayal reasoning
not any clearer
But this I know for sure
standing alone
is better than deception
that cuts to the bone
My strength
you did so test
The lover was easy to let go
but the friend I trusted above the rest
You took me to my knees
but today I stand on solid ground
The you I have now come to know
Well .... that I don't want around
You were one of very few friends
that when the storm got too rough
I could always turn to
Ya know when life just got too tough
No answers to my needing reason
as you look at me blankly
You to find your words
Well...
One day Maybe...
