 129. Amber Eyes
(Inspired by Dawn A's starter line
& my sisters)

In the moonlight
Amber eyes
Are glowing....
When just a
Moment ago
They were
Slate grey…
& the moment
Before that
They were
Black as night.

The host
Is gone.

The Divine
Rides the human,
Making the spark
Burn bright enough
To turn
Hazel eyes
To golden amber,
Like the wolf
She looks at you
As if she could
Chase you down
And devour you
Any time
She wishes.

She can
You know.

She is many,
She is All
“We are She”
She chants
She calls.

First soft
Like a gentle
Mother…
Then sweet
Like a playful
Child…
Then deep as
The void
Of the night sky
And
Back again.

When the silver
Disc of her
Heavenly pearl
Shines bright,
In the night,
She will come
Again.

Those amber eyes
Will glow again
And something
Older than
The flesh
& bones
She uses
Will speak
With love
Once more
To those
Who need
Her guidance.
