130. Breath on Breath on Breath
(Inspired by Donna B's starter line)
His soft breath
On my cheek...
Her hot breath
On my neck…
Sex between
Two people
Can be
A beautiful thing
Provided
I can find
The right
Two people.
Tonight
The gods have
Blessed me
With their
Avatars
In my arms.
The steam
Of us rises
As the cool
Night air
Condenses vapor
Like incense
Rising up to
The moon
An offering
Of love.
Three drumbeats
Of God
Goddess
And me,
Drive the song
Of our worship
To one another
& those
We represent.
Eyes closed
Lips locked
Hips writhe
Fingers claw
Throats moan
Muscles strain
Spirits soar.
Kundalini
Sparks like
The fire in
All souls,
Surges from
The base
Of our spines
Like the holy
Serpent of fire,
Coiled,
&
Released.
Breath is life,
And we inhale
One another
And relinquish
A cry
Long held
And sustained
As if this were
Our last…
We collapse
In a tangle
Or arms
Legs,
& glistening
Skin.
The night goes
Still,
And we return
To a gentle,
Loving,
Rhythmic breath,
On breath,
One breath…
Is love
Is life.
