oh! heart, so candled in love light mid dark
compelled to drown abreast the silent lark;
a shadowed shade now waxed by rising moon
in which her wolves, this night, howl out of tune.
this blessed heart returns to cupid's wings
having learned new songs to perfect to sing.
no star is seen to make a wish upon
amidst the mind, a pair of drifting swans,
though one in light is shadowed to its light
in other forms carnal desires are knight,
swordless save for in word, she need decide
a three eyed course by will, will be replied.
until then, two deemed homeless to the pair
save for a coin and poem book that's theirs.
