I'd be all alone, gazing at the sky
With no one above the clouds to see me cry.
Instead I can look up to the Heavens above
And feel that God is there caring for my own sweet love.
Milt, you smile down at me wherever I go
But still, my precious one, I miss you so.
I was grateful when you passed because you were out of pain
Although I won't see you on this earth ever, ever again.
Thank you God for blessing me with sixteen years of Milt's love
And for taking such good care of him in Heaven above.
Milt, you were an angel on earth and I want you to know
My angel in Heaven, I still love you so.

P.S. ON JANUARY 20TH, I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM MILT'S SISTER
HELEN, WHO LIVES HERE IN NEW JERSEY WITH HER CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN
AND GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. HELEN CRIED WHEN SHE TOLD ME THAT MILT'S SON
HAD JUST TELEPHONED HER TO TELL HER THAT MILT HAD PASSED AWAY THREE
DAYS EARLIER, ON JANUARY 17TH. ALTHOUGH MILT HAD A CEMETERY PLOT HERE
IN NEW JERSEY, HIS SON AND DAUGHTER BURIED HIM IN NORTH CAROLINA ON
JANUARY 18TH. HE HAD A "MILITARY FUNERAL," BUT THE ONLY RELATIVES WHO
ATTENDED WERE MILT'S SON, DAUGHTER AND TWO GRANDCHILDREN. MILT HAD MANY
FRIENDS AND RELATIVES IN NEW JERSEY, BUT NO OTHERS IN NORTH CAROLINA.
Milt, where would we be without God? Please remember that
my plan, with God's help, is to discover you one day in a land
way up above the clouds and be together with you throughout eternity.
