Will It Be Over Quickly?
How long will it take?
Will it drag on out,
Or will it be over quickly,
So we are not in any doubt!
In doubt about our future,
In doubt about our kin,
In doubt about the world as it is,
In doubt about a war we need to win!
Why does it have to happen?
For history repeat itself,
Won't they ever listen to the people?
Won't they help, to help themselves!
What the hell is going on?
Why do peoples have to fight?
Why can't they sort their differences!
So we can sleep soundly at night!
What is in the minds…?
Of all the ones who want a war!
What the hell will they gain?
Tell me, what's it all for?
More stress and strife and turmoil,
More deaths on their hands,
More aggression and sadness,
More blood spilt on the land!
When will they ever listen?
When will war and fighting cease?
When will the world be settled?
When will we all know peace?
Never!
