A Written Reminder
Of all the writes some asked of me
To tell their story written gladly
Where those we birthed for child unborn
And many more of loss life storms
This one memo addresses me
Of pets loved one would let go
Aged relatives I came to know
Where death became my introduction
To write for them a heartfelt something
Of innocence and younger days
Where in my mind they ran and played
Leaving a thought for those who asked
A short story no minor task
A shout to GOD and Heavens walk
A conversation, a spiritual talk
All blown from gates maybe one day
I'll get to see, pass through someday
Of love on fire and hearts desire
Left a taste of them acquired
For love unlike one never felt
Where tears still run from eyes that welt
A needed bond they still hold to
Of fairy tales and stories true
Simple in rhyme, complex of heart
Where to begin, to each impart
Yet in between some too we yearned
Breathing a sigh where lesson learned
Became reasons for me to write
When needs arose to shed some light
My hope again will be to ease
A fragile moment, a cried out please
To someone other than myself
For nothing else matters, but to share of
God's wealth
