Dear Cupid
The day draws near where Love becomes
A sentiment above bar none
Where someone special holds the key
To heart all yours they seek to please
Flowers, chocolates and Teddy Bears
Maybe fine Gold or Jewel bared
Upon finger, around your neck
A pendant worn, followed by peck
A life once lonely and regrets
Becomes of you now a sure bet
That cupids arrow hit it's mark
No more alone walks round the park
This feeling brings out butterfly's
That fly about with heartfelt sighs
Where truth and faith in them abides
Bringing closer to them your ties
Dear Cupid, your job well done
My wish today that all become
Aware how fragile is the heart
Mindful to one their better part
Though many things will play a role
Its what one feels and longs to hold
Someone with love that never ends
A confidant, their one true friend
