 One Life's Pilgrimage

Stand Up, Hear Democracy's Cry!

The nightmare will never bend
Democracy needs us, her to defend.

Hegemony, lovingly stands
guarded by motes of blood to be spilt
by its millions, maybe billions
of armed guards
camped within many lands.

We are the rats,
caged by propaganda speak
allowed from our blogs and twitters to squeak,
to diffuse the anger fueled by
our neverending abuse.

Only blood pays the price of freedom.
And our hearts are unwilling to pump
ours onto the streets.

So we sit at home
blog, comment, and tweet.

Well, those relatively few,
overflowing with democracy care,
and the courage it takes
to blog and tweet truth
into power's face.

The rest, overburdened
with survival scare
sit it their comfy chair
happy to be free
to watch Glee.
